What kind of tea is Hengshan Yunwu?
Hengshan Yunwu is a roasted green tea. It is made from one bud and one leaf or one bud and two leaves before and after Qingming. Among them, the completion of green tea is the key to establishing the quality of Hengshan Yunwu tea.
The finished Hengshan Yunwu tea sticks are tightly curled, full of silver hair and emerald green in color; the brewed Hengshan Yunwu Soup is bright in color, rich in aroma and fresh and mellow in taste.
Hengshan Yunwu Tea Origin
Hengshan Yunwu Tea has many names. In ancient times, it was called Yueshan tea, commonly known as Rui tea, and some people called it Nanyue Yunwu tea. According to the “Book of Tea”, Hengshan already produced tea in the Tang Dynasty. There are many temples on the mountain. Guangji Temple, Tiefo Temple, Xiangnan Temple, Fuyan Temple, and Shangfeng Temple have all planted tea trees on the mountainside.
Hengshan has 72 peaks, the main peak is 1290 meters above sea level. Below Zhurong Peak is the layered tea garden, which is also the main producing area of Hengshan Yunwu tea in Nanyue.
